Two River Films was founded by Hussain, an Iraqi filmmaker who grew up in London. With a degree from the University of the Arts, Hussain entered the world of Sports TV, working as an award-winning video editor with clients including Netflix, Premier League Productions, IMG, Noah Media Group, UEFA, FIFA, NBA, SKY, TNT, and more. His career eventually led him to delivering sports documentaries and short films at an acclaimed level.

Working at events like the 2018 World Cup in Moscow and Euro 2020, it was at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar where Hussain noticed the storytelling sports industry was lacking contribution from the Arab world despite its rich creative history. Many Gulf countries outsourced productions to Europe and the US, overlooking local talent.

Through extensive research in the Middle East, Hussain discovered Oman—brimming with creative talent and a desire to excel, especially with Vision 2040 on the horizon. Inspired by this potential, he established Two River Films in Oman. The company’s mission is to leverage Hussain's Western TV and documentary production experience and use local talent to advance the Arab world in a modern, authentic way. Two River Films is committed to telling compelling stories that resonate globally while celebrating and harnessing the region's creative spirit.
